Australia’s leading independent law firm, Corrs Chambers Westgarth, has received the Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) citation as an Employer of Choice for Gender Equality (EOCGE) 2019-20.

The WGEA EOCGE citation is public recognition of an organisation’s commitment to gender equality. Criteria for the citation cover leadership, learning and development, gender remuneration gaps, flexible working and other initiatives to support family responsibilities, employee consultation, preventing sex-based harassment and discrimination, and targets for improving gender equality outcomes.

WGEA Director Libby Lyons said: “This year, we strengthened the eligibility criteria by placing even greater emphasis on accountability, outcomes, evidence and internal reporting processes. I would like to congratulate all of our 2019-20 EOCGE citation holders for the extra effort and commitment it has taken to meet these additional rigorous requirements.

“These industry leaders are showing other Australian businesses how to create a better and more equal future for both women and men.”
