  • Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads Acted in the procurement phase of the Gold Coast Rapid Transit Project. Simon led the team in drafting and advising on the performance specification documentation.
  • Desalination Plant projects for South Australia and Victoria Advised in relation to the Victorian Desalination Project procured on the “Partnerships Victoria” basis; and acted for SA Water and the South Australian Crown Solicitors Office on the Adelaide desalination project.
  • NBN Co Acting for NBN Co on the implementation of the $43 billion fibre to the premises National Broadband Network project.
  • MetOne Consortium Advised the consortium (Bombardier, Laing O’Rourke, Serco and Macquarie Capital) in relation to all aspects of its bid to design, construct, finance and operate an underground metro rail facility in Sydney. Prior to the project being cancelled by the New South Wales Government, it was a PPP valued at approx $5 billion.
  • Barwon Water environmental issues Acting for Barwon Water matters including a new biosolids treatment plant and biosolids management solution procured on a PPP basis through the “Partnerships Victoria” program; and a proposed water reclamation plant adjoining a petroleum refinery.
  • Thiess/John Holland/Macquarie Consortium Acting for the Thiess/John Holland/Macquarie Consortium on its successful bid for the Airport Link project and the North South Bypass Tunnel project.
