Specialising in complex contractual, equitable and property based disputes, Anna regularly appears for clients in high profile litigation and in appellate Courts. She also acts for clients in administrative and public law disputes, inquiries, inquests and investigations.

Anna has extensive experience in contentious and non-contentious FOI work and has advised Commonwealth agencies and private corporations in relation to some of the most high profile FOI issues in recent years, including in connection with the extension of the Commonwealth FOI Act to NBN Co.

Anna's Expertise

  • United Broadcasting International Acted in a series of Federal Court proceedings and an associated London arbitration in connection with claims for copyright infringement arising under broadcasting licence agreements between UBI and foreign corporations based in Austria, Turkey, Serbia and Lebanon
  • “Test case” on therapeutic groups under the PBS Acted for the Commonwealth Department of Health and Ageing to defeat AstraZeneca’s recent challenge to the determination of therapeutic groups in relation to cholesterol lowering statin drugs, thereby protecting taxpayer savings of approximately $120 million.
  • Fuji Xerox Acted in a series of cases commenced by Fuji Xerox against CSG Limited in connection with CSG’s breaches of its obligations under national dealership arrangements. CSG was found liable to Fuji Xerox for, among other things, entering into secret agreements with Canon, Fuji’s key competitor in the Australian market.
  • Receivers and liquidators of the Allco Group Acted in a complex suite of litigation arising out of the high profile collapse of the Allco Group, including in actions by the receivers against Allco’s former directors and in defending the receivers’ sale process against challenges by former shareholders and directors.
  • FOI advice to NBN Co Lead the team of Corrs lawyers advising NBN Co in connection with the high profile extension of the Commonwealth FOI Act to NBN Co and FOI applications for access to commercial and sensitive documents held by NBN Co and provided by NBN Co to other government agencies.
  • Inquiries and inquests into immigration detention Acting for Serco Australia in connection with the 2011 Commonwealth parliamentary inquiry into immigration detention, the 2011 Hawke/Williams departmental inquiry and a series of inquests into deaths at the Villawood Immigration Detention Centre.
