Cross River Rail

Advised the Pulse Consortium (Pacific Partnerships, DIF, Ghella and BAM) and the D&C joint venture (CPB, Ghella and BAM) on the tunnels and stations PPP package, a significant addition to the Brisbane metro rail network.

Santos

Advised Santos on its most complex, high-value disputes arising out of this multi-billion dollar CSG to LNG project, including presently represent Santos in one of Australia’s largest Supreme Courts cases opposite Fluor.

Queensland Curtis LNG Project

Acted for BG Group/Shell on 5 dispute resolution board disputes and two arbitral proceedings (ICC and ACICA) concerning the construction of the A$21 billion Queensland Curtis LNG project.

QNGR Project

Acting in relation to claims and disputes on the Queensland New Generation Rollingstock A$4.4 billion PPP. Our work includes advising on project delivery, contract administration and dispute management, expert determination and ACICA arbitration proceedings.

Australian LNG Project

Advising a major contractor in relation to two A$2 billion arbitral proceedings (ICC and UNCITRAL) concerning the construction of the A$54 billion Gorgon LNG Project.

Roy Hill Iron Ore Mine Development

Advised Hancock Prospecting on the A$7.2 billion Roy Hill iron ore mine development project in Western Australia. Corrs advised on the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) phase of the project including the railway line, mine development, port (landside) facilities and port (marine) infrastructure.

Coles Group

Acted for Coles Group in relation to the delivery of two new ambient automated distribution centres in Sydney and Brisbane with a total capital value of A$950 million.

Melbourne Metro Rail Project

Advised the Moving Melbourne Together consortium on its bid for Melbourne’s landmark A$5 billion new rail PPP including tunnels and new stations through the CBD. Also advised the D&C joint venture of CPB Contractors, Ghella and Salini as part of the same consortium.

Sydney Light Rail

Acted for the successful ALTRAC consortium comprising Capella, Acciona, Transdev and Alstom in relation to the A$1.6 billion light rail project which includes a highly complex extension through the Sydney CBD. Advising the ALTRAC Light Rail Partnership on project delivery, contract administration and disputes.

Victorian Desalination Project

Advised the Victorian Government as lead adviser on all aspects of the procurement and continuing contract administration for the largest public sector investment in water infrastructure in Australia’s history, the A$3.5 billion Victorian Desalination Project. This was one of the Victorian Government’s most significant projects and one of the world’s largest and most complex desalination projects.

East West Link

Advised the Inner Link Group (Cintra Infraestructuras S.A / Samsung C&T Corporation / Uberior) on its bid for the East West Link PPP project.

Level Crossing Removal Projects – Alliances - Melbourne

Advised the North Eastern Program Alliance participants (Laing O’Rourke, Fulton Hogan, Jacobs Engineering and MTM) in relation to multi-billion dollar program for removal of numerous level crossings in Melbourne’s northern suburbs, as well as track duplication.

Advising the Queensland Government in respect of the A$3 billion Queen’s Wharf integrated resort development.

Advising the Queensland Government in respect of the A$3 billion Queen’s Wharf integrated resort development. The project involves the redevelopment of around nine hectares in the Brisbane CBD. It includes the redevelopment of more than three city blocks including under-utilised government buildings, significant heritage buildings, areas above roads and riverfront land under the Riverside Expressway. It is expected to include the construction of a new casino, up market hotels, retail and residential towers and new pedestrian bridge as well as the creation of extensive public space and the repurposing of some of Brisbane’s oldest and most significant heritage buildings.

Victorian Waste to Energy Project

Acted for Australian Paper in relation to all aspects of procuring (together with its partner, Suez) Victoria’s first energy from waste facility, A$600 million plus 225MW plant in the Latrobe Valley, Victoria.
