Corrs team members celebrate the 2022 Midsumma Pride March in Melbourne.
As the exclusive legal partner of Midsumma Festival, Corrs was delighted to join in the annual Midsumma Pride March in Melbourne on 6 February 2022.
Adorned in rainbow props and clothing, our Corrs cohort waved pride flags and celebrated the LGBTIQ+ community on one of the most important days in the pride calendar.
James D’Alessandro, associate in our Melbourne commercial litigation team, shared his thoughts on why Corrs’ participation in Midsumma is important: “It’s really important for any employer, but especially those in the legal industry – so often seen as conservative and pinned to traditional values – to be champions of equality.”
This was James’ first year attending the Midsumma Pride March and was his way of “helping Corrs lead by example in supporting our LGBTIQ+ community.”
Midsumma is Australia's premier queer arts and cultural festival, bringing together a diverse mix of LGBTIQ+ artists, performers, communities and audiences.
