Richard is well recognised as a commercial litigator, with a particular focus on alternative dispute resolution, and is one of Australia’s leading media lawyers.
He has over 30 years' experience with Corrs, and serves on a number of community and not for profit boards including as deputy chair of the Royal Children’s Hospital Foundation and the Mt Buller and Mt Stirling Alpine Resort.
In June 2019, Richard was awarded a medal in the Order of Australia for his contribution to the community, including his involvement with the RCH Foundation, the Melbourne Press Club, the Conversation Media Group and the Australian Friends of Asha.
Richard also helps lead Corrs’ pro bono and community initiatives.
Represented Rebel Wilson in her successful defamation claim against Bauer Media.
Representation and advice in Royal Commissions and Inquiries including Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse, Aged Care Quality and Safety, Management of Police Informants and Disability Services.
Represents WorkSafe Victoria in relation to premiums disputes and contractual, legislative and administrative law issues.
