Michael is a commercially-driven lawyer who applies his broad experience across a range of financing transactions to recognise key execution risks for his clients.
He specialises in acting for major banks and other non-bank financial institutions in the areas of property finance, corporate acquisitions and other project-based development lending, and is a trusted adviser to lender and borrower clients on the execution of complex debt matters.
Michael regularly works with lenders, property funds, developers and sponsors in negotiating complex inter-creditor issues (including with senior and mezzanine tranches of debt) and advises on security issues (including in connection with the PPSA).
Michael previously worked in-house at National Australia Bank Limited and is a client-driven adviser who sits alongside his clients to achieve their outcomes.
