Experienced in advising domestic and multinational businesses across a range of industries, Mark is a taxation specialist with capabilities across premium domestic and inbound investments, M&A and property transactions.

Mark advises on all taxation aspects on cross-border corporate transactions and financing structures including derivatives, advising and structuring M&A acquisitions including tax due diligence, the establishment of managed funds (including MITs and VCLPs) and advising on GST, duty and property related taxes relating to property developments.

He is a member of the Business Law Committee within the Law Council of Australia.

Long term tax advisor to PayPal Giving Fund Australia, providing ongoing support in relation to its operational model, organisational, charity and fundraising activities.

ENN Group International Investment Limited

Advised ENN on the further acquisition of an additional 4.8% of the issued capital of Santos to take ENN Group’s ownership to 15.11% totalling US$500 million. Also advised on the financing arrangement and derivative position.


Advised Mirvac on its stake in the ‘third city’ of Sydney, Badgerys Creek, buying a parcel of a 244-hectare industrial site for A$71 million a future industrial estate.

Brockwell Capital Limited

Advised Brockwell Capital in its capacity as an underwriter to various acquisitions and transactions in the Australian market.

Serco Group

Advised Serco Group on its A$1.01 billion sub-contract to provide essential defence support services to Bupa Health Services for the provision of health service to the Australian Defence Force including payroll tax issues.

St George Community Housing Limited

Advised on the tax implications of participation in numerous social and affordable housing projects, including participation in the NSW Social and Affordable Housing Fund and various other projects involving proposals to acquire and develop substantial affordable housing assets.
