Marisa is an experienced corporate lawyer who has acted on a broad range of cross-border and domestic public M&A transactions, including takeovers and schemes of arrangement, as well as private M&A transactions, ECM (including IPOs and secondary raisings) and other corporate transactions.

Marisa has practised in London, Sydney and Perth, regularly advising companies on head office advisory matters, primarily in relation to the Corporations Act, ASX Listing Rules and ASIC policy compliance, continuous disclosure and corporate governance issues (including with regard to whistleblowing matters). 

Marisa is a member of Corrs’ Perth Gender Equality Committee.

Water Corporation

Advising the WA state-owned utility on its acquisition of the development rights of what will be Western Australia’s largest renewable wind energy project (Flat Rocks Wind Farm Stage 2).

Gold Road

Advising the ASX200-listed gold producer’s on its A$308 million takeover offer for ASX-listed DGO Gold, which owns a portfolio of strategic investments including in ASX-listed De Grey Mining (100% owner of the Mallina Gold Project).

ASG Group

Acting on ASG Group’s portfolio of acquisitions in the Australian IT services industry, including the acquisition of Pragma (a large national government IT consultancy business) and Velrada (a privately-owned Australian Microsoft D365 specialist servicing enterprise).

Black Mountain Metals

Advising on the sale of a majority interest in strategic partnership with Tembo Capital to advance the Lanfranchi nickel mine in Western Australia.

Northern Star Resources

Advising the global-scale Australian gold producer on its A$243 million takeover offer for ASX-listed Echo Resources and its Yandal Gold Project.

Finder Energy

Acting on the exploration company’s A$15 million IPO and ASX listing including a pre-IPO restructure and preparation of a permits/title report as well as continuing to support on corporate governance matters.
