Kate is an experienced Technology, Media and Telecommunications lawyer who advises on privacy and data protection, online safety regulation, consumer and marketing law compliance, surveillance devices regulation, franchising law and technology contracting. She works with domestic and international clients including digital platforms, technology companies, retailers, ASX-listed companies, financial institutions and universities.
Kate has a particular expertise in privacy regulatory investigations. She has acted for various clients who are subject to investigations by the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner and has been involved across the lifecycle of these matters, from responding to regulatory notices and negotiating enforceable undertakings, to making submissions in response to determinations and appealing regulator decisions.
In addition to her legal qualifications, Kate holds a degree in journalism and a diploma of languages (Italian). She has published articles relating to media, privacy, marketing and surveillance laws in the Internet Law Bulletin and the Communications Law Bulletin.
