Harriet is an experienced international dispute resolution lawyer. Her practice spans public international law, investor-state and commercial arbitration, and commercial litigation.
Harriet is lead associate on a conciliation between two ASEAN States. The conciliation – the second to occur under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea – seeks to resolve a dispute worth several hundred billion dollars.
Harriet assists clients with complex multi-jurisdictional disputes and regulatory investigations (ASIC, NACC, AER, ESC). Her enforcement work includes the first case in the British Virgin Islands on the recognition and enforcement of ICSID awards. She also advises clients on business and human rights matters and anti-bribery and corruption programs. Harriet was involved in drafting a new codified tort law for a Middle Eastern State.
Harriet’s client-side experience includes secondments to the world's largest private wealth manager and to Australia’s largest energy company.
Prior to joining Corrs, Harriet practised at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher in London. During that time, she won the FT Innovative Lawyers of the Year Awards 2023 for the fight to secure the release of British-Iranian Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe from arbitrary detention in Iran.
She holds a Double First from the University of Cambridge and is admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales. Harriet is also Chair of the Corrs Network of Women.
