Georgie Austin

An experienced commercial litigator, Georgie has acted for private and public sector clients across Royal Commissions and Inquiries and commercial disputes.  

She is also an experienced media lawyer and regularly advises on pre-publication and clearance matters, as well as providing her clients with advice and representation in defamation and contempt proceedings.

Georgie is well regarded for her ability to project-manage complex and large scale disputes, and works with clients to protect their legal, commercial and reputational interests.

She has served on a number of community and not for profit boards, most recently as a director of Gymnastics Victoria.  She also co-founded and chaired the Young Carlton Professionals, a networking group associated with the Carlton Football Club.

Georgie attended Harvard University Law School to undertake an intensive negotiation workshop and is an active participant in Corrs’ Pro Bono and Community program. She was a member of the inaugural Corrs Diversity Council Advisory Team.
