Dimity has over 20 years’ experience advising private and public sector clients on all aspects of labour law, including industrial relations, employment, discrimination and work health and safety. Her experience representing regulators, government agencies and industrial organisations means she is uniquely placed to assist employers navigate complex regulatory environmentand resolve individual and collective disputes efficiently.

She has deep expertise in wage compliance and remediation. Her work in the Offices of the Fair Work Ombudsman and the International Labour Organisation involved advising national inspectorates on enforcement issues, such as statutory interpretation, enforcement proceedings and compliance strategies. She now draws on these insights to help employers understand their obligations, undertake remediation and engage with regulators and other stakeholders to secure the best possible enforcement outcomes.  

Dimity also has extensive work health and safety experience. Having worked with SafeWork Australia on the development of the model laws, she now assists employers responding to major incidents and managing serious and systemic workplace risks. She advises clients on internal and external investigations, regulator engagement (including enforceable undertakings) and prosecutions for alleged non-compliance. She also trains company officers and senior management on their WHS duties and advises on emerging risks in their industries.

She brings a solutions-focused approach to each matter and values building close working relationships with clients to develop a strong understanding of their industries, organisations and objectives.
