A commercially-focused practitioner with over 15 years’ experience, Chris specialises in disputes, bargaining, enforcement and transactional advice in the corporate re-organisation and executive employment space.
Chris advises government and private sector clients across a range of industries, including major retail, infrastructure, finance, manufacturing and labour hire concerns, at both a national and international level.
Chris has completed a number of in-house secondments with industry leaders, including an international secondment with top tier Japanese firm Anderson Mori & Tomotsune. He leads Corrs’ pro bono engagement with the Fair Work Commission’s Workplace Advice Service and its pro bono partnership with WestJustice’s Employment Justice Program.
Advised Wesfarmers on its compliance with industrial instruments and remediation project, including advice to a number of its major household business units.
Advised Boeing Aerostructures Australia and other related entities in respect of its last round of enterprise bargaining, industrial disputes before the Fair Work Commission and advice in respect of transfer of employment issues.
Advised NAB in respect of the insourcing of multiple operational contracts across various outsourced providers, including advice on drafting and negotiation of transfer deeds, employment contracts, workforce management and applications to the Fair Work Commission for orders to block the transfer of industrial instruments.
Advised Downer Group in respect of the outsourcing the Operations and Maintenance of Ausnet’s Victorian Distribution Network to Downer Utilities Australia Pty Ltd, including advice and representation in commercial negotiations, drafting of employment contracts, advice on workforce management and application to the Fair Work Commission for orders in respect of transfer of industrial instrument.
Advised Bluejeans Network in respect of the Australian employment law aspects of its global acquisition by Verizon.
Advised Access Group UK on its acquisition of Attaché Software and provided ongoing advice post-completion in respect of organisational structuring and workforce management across its Australian and New Zealand operations.
