An experienced litigator, Camille has expertise in all areas of commercial dispute resolution, with a particular speciality in helping companies and directors deal with regulatory investigations and corporate disputes.
Camille spent two years at a leading disputes firm in London where she advised on hedge fund, partnership and shareholder disputes and large cross-border insolvency across the UK, Canada and the US.
Camille is a member of the Australian Restructuring Insolvency and Turnaround Association (ARITA) and the Law Society of Western Australia.
Represented and advised a director in relation to various claims arising out of the administration of a mining and exploration company. This included accessing D&O coverage and successfully defending a funded shareholder class action and an insolvent trading claim.
Acted for Mr Trevor Flugge, the former chairman of the Australian Wheat Board, in civil proceedings initiated by ASIC stemming from the Cole Royal Commission investigating manipulation of the UN Oil for Food Proceedings.
Acted for CBA as secured creditor in relation to the collapse of Burrup Holdings. Successfully secured and appointed receivers over a corporate jet, defended challenges to the appointment, obtained freezing order over a guarantor’s assets including asset disclosure orders and recovery of residuary debt.
Acted for the joint administrators appointed by the Courts of England and Wales to the UK and European members of the Nortel telecoms group on the global insolvency of the group, including the sale of its assets and intercompany claims in the English, US and Canadian Courts.
