Highly regarded litigation and insolvency specialist Felicity Healy has joined Australia’s leading independent law firm, Corrs Chambers Westgarth, as partner based in the firm’s Sydney office.

Felicity joined Corrs from Henry Davis York, re-joining former HDY colleagues Patrick O’Grady, Ben Emblin, Cameron Cheetham, Craig Ensor and Michael Catchpoole who recently joined the firm.

In her 17-year legal career, Felicity has worked in three jurisdictions – UK, New Zealand and Australia – with the common thread being her interest in advising some of the world’s leading financial institutions on their legal risks and issues.

“We are delighted to have Felicity join us,” said John W.H. Denton AO, Partner and CEO of Corrs. “She is an exceptional lawyer with deep connectivity in the financial services industry and she will enhance our firm’s market–leading litigation and insolvency offering.

“Felicity is consistently described by clients, peers and colleagues as ‘commercially astute’ and she prides herself on understanding and appreciating her clients’ business and commercial needs when providing legal advice.

“Importantly, she takes the time to understand client needs and is known to visit company offices, sites and other relevant places of business to better understand the matter on which she is advising.”

Felicity is known for her ability to provide commercially astute advice in large and complex matters, such as the high profile Octaviar liquidation and a large scale mortgage fraud matter on behalf of a leading financial institution.
