How applications work at Corrs

Our application process for seasonal clerkships and graduate programs involves two steps.

Graduate and clerkship FAQs

General application questions

What year do I have to be in to apply for a clerkship?
Seasonal clerk programs are designed for students who are in their penultimate year of study.

Pre-penultimate or final year students may be considered. Please contact your state-based People & Performance contact to discuss your circumstances.

Can I apply for a clerkship in more than one office?
Yes. Corrs is an Australian firm with offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Port Moresby.

Do you consider international students?
We consider students who have the appropriate visa and are eligible to live and work full-time in Australia.

What if I have failed a subject?
Our application form provides a section for you to detail any extenuating circumstances relevant to your application.

Can I defer a clerkship offer?
No.  However, we understand that circumstances might arise that prevent you from completing a clerkship and encourage you to discuss this with your state-based People & Performance contact.

Can I reapply if I was previously unsuccessful?
Yes.

Can I defer a graduate offer?
We consider all requests to defer commencement of the graduate program. Many requests have been granted to students who are offered Associateship roles after accepting a place in our graduate program. Requests are considered with respect to business requirements.

If you have a different question regarding deferral, please connect with a member of our team – see contact details below.
