TGA pursues importer, Court imposes $3.1 millon penalty

The Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) brought proceedings against a sports supplement importer, Export Corporation (Australia) Pty Limited (Export Corporation), for importing and supplying therapeutic goods not registered on the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG).

In deciding the matter, the Federal Court of Australia imposed a civil penalty of over $3.1 million against the importer.
