Stan has acted in numerous high-profile corporate and securities law actions and has earned a reputation as a strategic and commercially-minded litigator.

He has represented parties in a number of landmark decisions in corporate law, including the Gambotto v WCP Ltd decision of the High Court of Australia, which was described by The Australian Financial Review as a “ruling that has radically altered the balance of power within corporate Australia”, and the Darvall v North Sydney Brick & Tile Co Ltd (Norbrik) series of cases which related to various important aspects of corporate law.

Stan is also recognised as an experienced adviser on a wide range of transactional and corporate dispute related issues, and investigations by regulatory bodies including ASIC, ASX and the ACCC.

Acted for JP Morgan Chase Bank, NA in declaratory relief proceedings commenced against senior lenders to the Centro group of companies on the construction of an intercreditor trust deed and the right of senior lenders to direct JP Morgan how to vote at the creditors’ scheme meeting.
