Michael specialises in complex, large-scale construction disputes. His experience includes advising on significant insurance and arbitration claims during a nine-month secondment to an LNG operator, succeeding (to final award) in a circa A$1 billion ICC arbitration proceeding on behalf of a Thai module fabricator, and defending a circa A$1.6 billion claim in an UNCITRAL arbitration proceeding on behalf of a major mining client.
Michael has experience advancing and defending claims by various forms of dispute resolution, including arbitration, mediation, statutory adjudication and litigation. He has also been involved at the early and intermediate stages of construction projects, and in drafting and advising on a wide range of construction contracts.
Michael is a member of the WAFC Community Football Tribunal.
