Chris specialises in front-end advice on large-scale infrastructure projects. With experience of working in the UK, Middle East and Australia, Chris brings a truly global perspective to the development, construction and procurement aspects of major projects in the public and private sectors.

Chris has significant experience in advising on a range of large and high-profile projects both in Australia and abroad, including major transport and infrastructure projects, PPP projects, commercial, residential and retail developments, urban regeneration and oil and gas projects. To clients, this means that he understands their increasingly global objectives while providing a local lens.

Building strong and long-term relationships with his clients, Chis is also able to comment more broadly on strategic impacts that clients face with their projects in and outside of Australia focusing on the relationship rather than the transaction.

Pitt Street Integrated Station Development

Advised Grocon and Oxford Properties on their bid for Sydney Metro’s A$1.7 billion Pitt Street integrated station development project, which involves the delivery of a mixed-use northern commercial office tower and separate southern build to rent residential tower.

Pilbara Ports Authority

Advised Pilbara Ports Authority in relation to the development of the Lumsden Point project, a general cargo facility and logistics hub at the Port of Port Hedland.

Project Fire

Advising Nuveen in relation to the documents required for the development of two purpose built student accommodation projects in Adelaide and Melbourne, which were acquired on a fund through basis.

Waterloo Integrated Station Development

Advising Mirvac and John Holland in relation to the disposal of the student accommodation component of the Waterloo Integrated Station Development.


Advising a bidder in relation to its bid to undertake the Morley to Ellenbrook component of the MetroNet project.

Cross River Rail

Advised Investa in relation to its bid to undertake the over station development component of the Cross River Rail project as part of the Pulse Consortium, including development agreement, structuring arrangements and lease documentation.

Central Barangaroo

Advised the Grocon-led consortium in relation to its bid for and the project documents in connection with the acquisition of the development rights for the A$4 billion Central Barangaroo project, a mixed-use development comprising office, residential and retail premises, public space and a metro connection. The project documentation included the development agreement with the Barangaroo Delivery Authority, consortium documentation, financing agreements, and take-out arrangements for the acquisition of the individual project components.

Lendlease Managed Investment Funds

Acted in relation to the acquisition of mixed use commercial premises in the Melbourne Quarter and Barangaroo South precincts having a combined value in excess of A$1 billion, involving design, construction, leasing and subdivision elements.
