Corrs Chambers Westgarth was honoured with the highest level of recognition in the recently published World Trademark Review (WTR) 2014 Guide to the World’s Leading Trademark Professionals.
In awarding Corrs “Gold” status, the WTR Guide ranked Corrs’ “exceptionally strong trademark team” as one of Australia’s best in its annual guide to leading firms in the trademark space. The guide described the Corrs team as a “multi-talented group” who “continues to go from strength to strength in the Australian market,” with an “enviable roster of house-hold name international brand owners.”
Four Corrs partners were also individually recognised for their outstanding expertise in the annual guide. WTR described Tim Allen as a “brand management guru” and clients noted that he is “deeply knowledgeable and genuinely passionate” and “when you instruct him, you can sleep well at night.” Stephen Stern, was noted as a “premier litigator”, who “leaves no stone unturned when devising the best strategies.” Odette Gourley was singled out as a “game-changer when it comes to demanding disputes” with her “blend of contentious and brand strategy, regulatory and administrative law expertise resonating with top multinationals.”
The WTR is a leading international legal industry benchmarking publication, who this year credited only four other firms with “Gold” status in the Australian market.
This outstanding recognition also complements the Corrs Trademarks team’s recent prestigious Asia IP Award for “Australian Trademarks Firm of the Year 2013”.
Corrs’ intellectual property practice covers all aspects of contentious and non-contentious intellectual property representation for global and domestic clients. The calibre of Corrs’ client base and its lead roles on major contentious and non-contentious matters are testament to the strength of Corrs’ work product over the past year
