Queensland floods


In the aftermath of the devastating Queensland floods in 2011 and 2012, the Queensland Flood Commission of Inquiry investigated how well insurers had handled claims. The examined the process and timeliness of response, interpretations of policy inclusions and exclusions, reasons for declining and dispute resolution processes of eight large insurers.

Corrs helped Suncorp Group and AAMI, both with high exposure to flood claims and many sensitive issues, respond to the Commission’s investigation and show their compliance.
