On 1 March 2013, John W. H. Denton co-chaired the Stronger Partnership: Pathways to a Closer Partnership discussion at the 8th Australia-Japan Conference.
Corrs Partner and CEO John W. H. Denton spoke about the importance of deepening Australia-Japan relationships outside of government, including through greater economic investment, greater collaboration in developing infrastructure in the region and the necessity for joint work in developing the regions's financial services market.
Australian participants included H.E Ambassador Bruce Miller Australian Ambassador to Japan, Sir Rod Eddington (Co-Chair) Chair, Australia-Japan Business Cooperation Council, and Akio Mimura, Joint Chairman Nippon Steel and Sumitomo Metal Corporation.
