Correctional services in Australia: year in review and 2018 outlook

Last year saw substantial change amidst a series of challenges in the correctional services space. The Royal Commission released its report into youth detention in the Northern Territory, there were further challenges to Victoria's temporary housing of youths in a gazetted unit of an adult prison, class actions progressed and states introduced legislation to address the threat of drones to prison security.
We've prepared an overview of the last 12 months and an outlook for what 2018 may have in store.
