This speech discusses the G20 and the Financial Stability Board, and their respective roles – given that these bodies together are leading the development work on reforming financial regulation; outlines the major financial regulation reform priorities of the G20; covers some of the issues that these reform proposals raise and what might be the implications for Australia; and considers the importance of ensuring Australian businesses are engaged as part of the G20 process.
