How can we strengthen our economies and our societies?

As representatives of Commonwealth nations, we share common aspirations such as providing greater economic opportunities and achieving a higher standard of living and a better quality of life for the people of our respective nations. Opening up our economies to greater levels of international trade and investment can, when properly managed, make an important contribution to achieving these aspirations.
