Mixed signals - Proposed prohibitions on price signalling

The Government has today taken the next step towards its goal of prohibiting price signalling in specific industries, by introducing the Competition and Consumer Amendment Bill (No 1) 2011. The Bill takes into account some of the criticism levelled at the exposure draft bill (Exposure Draft) published in December last year, but many areas of concern remain.
