The combination of his construction and legal expertise adds strategic strength to his experience in construction dispute resolution, including Federal and Supreme Court litigation, arbitration and mediation as well as the negotiation of construction related policies for insurance and the management of construction insurance claims.

Peter's Expertise

  • Projects Queensland - Queensland Schools Advising Projects Queensland during the business case, EOI and RFP phases of this project for the procurement of the design, construction and operation of 10 schools in Queensland as a Public Private Partnership.
  • Department of Transport and Main Roads - Gold Coast Rapid Transit Project Advised the Department of Transport and Main Roads on this project since its commencement in 2007. During the business case phase, Peter provided advice on delivery options, potential legislative amendments and procurement issues such as project risk allocation and staging of project extensions. Following approval of the business case, he lead the Corrs team in the development of the RFP documents and the interaction with bidders. Peter continues to provide contract administration advice to the project.
  • Sunshine Coast Public University and Private Hospitals Currently advising Qld Health in relation to contract administration issues arising post financial close in relation to the Sunshine Coast Public University Hospital PPP between Qld Health and Exemplar Health (SCUH) Partnership and the Sunshine Coast Private University Hospital Collocation and Service Agreements between Qld Health and Ramsay Health Care Australia.
  • QGC Limited Advising QGC with respect to its major construction contracts relating to the development of the QCLNG project in central Queensland. Peter has advised QGC on all aspects of its contracts since project commencement including contract negotiation, contract administration and dispute resolution.
  • Department of Infrastructure, Development and Planning - Queen’s Wharf Development Advising DSDIP in relation to the business case and procurement phases of the Queen’s Wharf Development in the George Street precinct in CBD Brisbane.
  • Dept of Infrastructure, Development and Planning - Integrated Resort Development Advising DSDIP in relation to the business case and procurement phases of the Integrated Resort Development projects in south east and north Queensland.
  • WA State Solicitors Office – WA Schools Assisting SSO during EOI and RFP phases of this project for the procurement of the design, construction and operation of 8 schools In Western Australia as a Public Private Partnership.
  • Queensland Rail Advised on the procurement of the Moreton Bay Rail Link project. Drafted design and construction contracts for rail systems and interface agreements between the road and rail sections of the project.
