  • $1 billion sale of the GMAC Australia portfolio to Macquarie Bank Lead tax counsel on all tax, GST and duty issues for the $1 billion sale of the GMAC Australia portfolio to Macquarie Bank – involving loan and hire purchase receivables on balance sheet and under securitisation programmes, and tax rulings to confirm aspects of the sale.
  • $3.2 billion global securitisation programme for ME Bank Advised ME Bank on tax issues associated with RMBS securitisation programmes, notes issues and financing facilities. This included a $3.2 billion global securitisation programme and $276 million Maxis Loans Securitisation Fund 2009-10 (KangaNews Awards 2009 – “Australian Securitisation Deal of the Year”).
  • US$2.04 billion note issue by Fortescue Metals Group Ltd with JP Morgan as lead Advised JP Morgan on all Australian income tax, withholding tax and GST issues in relation to the high yield US$2.04 billion note issue by the Fortescue Metals Group and recent syndicated loan financing.
  • Macquarie Real Estate joint venture and project developments Advised Macquarie Real Estate on tax issues for joint venture and project development structures for acquisition and development of sites, including investments by MREEF funds.
