  • QCLNG Advising QGC (a member of the BG Group) on tendering, procurement and contract negotiation for a number of major infrastructure projects forming part of its Au$20bn QCLNG project at Gladstone, central Queensland, including:
    • Design & construction of a 550km+ gas pipeline;
    • Construction of permanent accommodation camps and associated infrastructure;
    • Construction of gas compression facilities (including processing plants and field compression stations);
    • Design & construction of two 100ML/D water treatment plants; and
    • Dredging activities at the Port of Gladstone.
  • New Generation Rolling Stock PPP Advising Laing O’Rourke in connection with D&C subcontract for construction of a new depot facility at Ipswich as part of the New Generation Rolling Stock PPP being procured by the State of Queensland (through the Department of Transport & Main Roads).
  • Toowoomba Range Second Crossing PPP Advising RangeConnect consortium in connection with its bid for this $1.6 billion toll road project SE Queensland. Andrew was responsible for the drafting and negotiation of both the D&C and O&M Subcontracts and the Subcontractor Interface Agreement for the RangeConnect Bid.
  • Stabling Yards Project, Queensland Rail Advising Queensland Rail in connection with the procurement of new stabling yards to accommodate expansion of the rolling stock fleet in SE Queensland including drafting of bespoke D&C Contract and preparation of RFT Package.
  • Guinea alumina Advising blue chip international mining company in connection with EPCM Agreement and suite of Trade Contract documentation for US$4bn+ project to construct alumina refinery and associated port, road & rail infrastructure in Republic of Guinea.
  • Dual fuel peaker plant Advising Queensland GOC in connection with a hybrid EPC Contract arrangement, part D&C - part alliance style procurement method (for onshore Australian construction portion) for a proposed electricity generation peaking plant in central Queensland.
  • Mining contracts Representing a Tier 1 Australian Contractor in the negotiation of several substantial mining contracts for long term mining services in both Queensland (coal) and Western Australia (metal ore), including sophisticated and project specific payment structures with ‘profit at risk’ KPI regimes.
  • Urban Redevelopment, QUT Advising Queensland University of Technology in connection with the redevelopment of the Kelvin Grove Urban Village, a mixed use educational and commercial development on the fringe of Brisbane’s CBD including development agreements and long-term leasing arrangements.
