Michael Syme

Michael has extensive experience in commercial litigation and has acted in takeover proceedings, contractual disputes, trade practices claims and insurance litigation, particularly in relation to professional indemnity. He has also acted for banks and other financial institutions in matters ranging from simple debt recovery to complex securities enforcement.

He chaired the firm's insolvency practice group between 1990 to 1993, and has been involved in many liquidations, receiverships and work outs. He has assisted clients in relations to hearings before regulatory bodies and has appeared for clients as such hearings.

Many of these cases have involved multiple parties and numerous documents and have utilised high technology to assist in the efficient preparation and presentation of necessary evidence.
