Corrs’ wine practice has a wide range of domestic and foreign clients, including growers, winemakers, producers, importers, distributors, vigneron associations and government instrumentalities.
Our experience in the wine sector includes extensive work in the geographical indications area, such as working in the Coonawarra boundary dispute, registering and protecting other Australian geographical indications, and protecting European geographical indications in Australia and the Asia-Pacific for, amongst others, French government instrumentalities.
Our French clients include the Institut National des Appellations d’Origine (the INAO), many of the interprofessional committees, such as the CIVC (of Champagne), the CIVB (of Bordeaux), the UIVB (of Beaujolais), the BNIC (of Cognac), the BIVB (of Burgundy) and the CIVCP (of the Côtes de Provence). Our French clients have also included three of the Premier Cru Chateaux in Bordeaux, two of the leading Burgundy producers, several of the largest and best-known Champagne Houses and one of the leading Rhône producers, amongst others. Our local clients include Beringer Blass, Dromana Estate, Best's Wines, Cellarmaster Wines, the Mornington Peninsula Vignerons Association, the Victorian Wine Industry Association, the Heathcote District Winegrowers Association, Warrenmang Estate, WineNet Australia, Tucker Seabrook and Tim Adams Wines amongst many others.
