Securitisation

Corrs' established track record in the field of securitisation includes involvement in many of the major securitisation programs undertaken in Australia since the first securitisation in 1987.

Corrs' expertise covers all aspects of securitisation transactions from RMBS and CMBS programs to more exotic asset classes and synthetics.

Corrs has acted for all the major players in securitisations including issuers, trustees and ratings agencies in roles which have included the preparation, review and negotiation of all documentation; advising on programs and structures and related stamp duty, consumer credit, tax and withholding tax issues; advising on the requirements of rating agencies; and advising on all aspects of the trustee and security trustee relationships.

Our lawyers have acted in pioneering securitisation programs in Australia including the first credit card securitisation, the first motor vehicle finance lease securitisation, the first 100% LVR securitisation and the first CMBS origination program.
