Eddie Scuderi

Eddie Scuderi is the Partner in Charge of the Queensland Office of Corrs. He is involved in some of the most complex and challenging work covering the breadth of issues facing modern business today, including: advising on all aspects of the Trade Practices Act, strategic technology alliances, e-contracting, large scale system integration contracts, patent and software licensing, the negotiation of IP commercialisation and R&D agreements, and the structuring of technology joint ventures and sponsorship arrangements.

Eddie’s expertise and experience are in high demand with major clients across both the public and private sectors. Eddie has advised Suncorp Metway on numerous IT system acquisition and maintenance agreements, sponsorship arrangements, and on a range of Competition Law issues, he has advised the Queensland University of Technology in relation to its development and commercialisation of technology over many years and has advised Accenture in relation to a number of large system integration supply arrangements.

Eddie has acted for the Queensland Department of Premier and Cabinet in relation to the competitive aspects of the regulation of trade in water allocations and water infrastructure, provided Trade Practices training to Queensland Treasury, CS Energy and WorkCover Queensland, and obtained clearances from the ACCC for ENERGEX Limited’s acquisition of Allgas, Suncorp’s acquisition of a joint venture interest from AMP, Pauls’ acquisition of Associated Dairies and for collective bargaining arrangements on behalf of a large group of Queensland dairy farmers.

Eddie has also conducted a number of Trade Practices and IP audits for various Government Departments and Agencies in Queensland and New South Wales.

Eddie is advising Ergon Energy on all aspects of its involvement in a telecommunications roll out in regional Queensland including capacity supply arrangements with Licensed Carriers.

Eddie has also acted for clients in a number of complex litigation matters including patent infringement proceedings in the Federal Court, a High Court appeal over copyright issues, and International Arbitrations involving claims of breach of confidence and copyright.

Eddie has been a Partner since July 1993.
