Corrs In Brief: Proposed GST margin scheme amendments

Taxation Laws Amendment (2008 Measures No 5) Bill (the Bill), introduced into Parliament on 25 September 2008, proposes amendments to the margin scheme. On 11 November 2008, the Senate Standing Committee on Economics recommended that the Bill be passed in its current form. The amendments will have particular impact on clients who are developers of residential property.
