Corrs In Brief: Privacy Act review

Last May, the Office of the Federal Privacy Commissioner released its review of the private sector privacy provisions which were introduced to the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) in 2001. The Attorney-General has now asked the Australian Law Reform Commission to conduct a detailed review of the entire Act. But the ALRC’s report is not due until 31 March 2008.
