Corrs In Brief: Therapeutic Goods: A New Treatment for the Regulators10 July 2006
Significant amendments to the Therapeutic Goods Act 1989 (Cth) (Act) are twofold in effect: they increase the Therapeutic Goods Administration’s (TGA) enforcement options for breach and deter non-compliance with existing requirements under the Act. The amendments are partly the result of the Pan Pharmaceuticals recall, which raised enforcement and penalty questions, these amendments follow the global trend of increased regulation of corporate governance.
