Corrs In Brief: Carbon Pollution Reduction Scheme deferred until 2011

On 4 May 2009, the Federal Government announced that commencement of the Carbon Pollution Reduction Scheme (CPRS) will be deferred until 1 July 2011. By deferring the CPRS, the Government hopes to allow the economy more time to recover from the affects of the Global Financial Crisis.
