Craig is a member of the Corrs Taxation Group, practising in income tax and GST. He joined Corrs in 1998 and became a Partner in July 2007.

Craig is a lead taxation lawyer in transactions and projects, mainly for clients in the property, infrastructure and finance sectors. He advises on property development structures, infrastructure projects and associated financing, securitisation programmes and associated notes issues, financing arrangements and general corporate tax issues.

Craig’s input is sought in relation to negotiating tax issues in commercial transactions, providing transaction advice and opinions, seeking private rulings and acting for clients in audits and disputes with the Australian Taxation Office.

In addition to advising corporate clients on tax and GST, Craig also actively leads and participates in pro bono work for Corrs’ charitable clients, including as the Melbourne office Pro Bono Partner.

He is a member of the Law Council of Australia’s Melbourne Taxation Committee and was the Secretary to the Committee from 2002 to 2007, assisting the work of the Committee in representations and consultation on tax law reform and administration. He is a Fellow of the Tax Institute of Australia.

Craig was recently listed as a leading tax lawyer in the 2010 edition of the international legal directory, Chambers Global.
