Nasos Kaskani

Nasos commenced his career with Corrs as an articled clerk in 2001 and was promoted to Senior Associate in January 2006. During this time he has established a diverse tax practice and specialises in the following areas:

  • corporate income tax;
  • capital gains tax;
  • GST;
  • fringe benefits tax;
  • ATO audits and reviews; and
  • tax litigation and dispute resolution.
More recently, he has also developed expertise in charities, trusts and estate planning.

Nasos assists clients with their dealings with the Australian Taxation Office, including tax strategy reviews, risk assessments reviews, specific issue audits, negotiation and settlement of tax disputes and private ruling applications. He has also dealt with freedom of information requests and disputes concerning material that is subject to legal professional privilege, restricted source privilege and non-source privilege.

Nasos is also a key member of the group’s Foster’s client team. Most recently Nasos has acted for Foster's in a lengthy and significant taxation litigation before the Federal Court.

Nasos advises major clients of Corrs, including listed companies, government departments and high wealth individuals. Nasos has also worked directly with members of the Department of Infrastructure and members of Parliament with the objective of establishing a non-profit organisation to undertake a significant social and educational initiative.
