History
Corrs Chambers Westgarth traces its history back to 1841 with the founding of the firm's first office in Melbourne. Since that time the firm has participated in many of the debates and events that have led to the shaping of the economic success that is Australia today.
While we are proud of our heritage, we are firmly focused on the future.
Corrs was there - Interesting historic fact: Vernon Corr was on the staff of Major General Sir Horace Robertson and present when Lieutenant General Hatazo Adachi (Commander Japanese 18th Army) handed over his sword to Major General Horace Robertson (GOC 6th Australian Division) after signing the unconditional surrender of his forces in New Guinea, Cape Wom 13th September 1945. |
