Simon joined Corrs in April 2008 from ANZ, where he was Head of the Dispute Resolution Group from 2001 to 2004 and Deputy General Counsel, Institutional Division from 2004 until 2007.

Simon has dealt with cases involving cheques (eg. conversion claims), frauds and forgeries, allegations of misleading or deceptive and unconscionable conduct, breach of contract and equitable remedies. He also advised ANZ on responding to subpoenas, applications for preliminary or non-party discovery, injunctions and freezing orders.

Simon was also responsible for managing ANZ's residual exposure on a number of major litigious matters in India that arose out of ANZ's former ownership of Grindlays bank. He has managed cases for ANZ (working with local Indian solicitors and counsel) in the High Court of Mumbai, the Supreme Court of India and various tribunals.
